Tipping Point: Liberal Minority Will Fall
 
Several national media reports concluded the Liberal minority government will likely fall on Nov. 29, with voting day expected to be Jan. 9 or 16.
The pounding drum beat about an early election moved off most front pages across the country, as media coverage outlined a growing consensus the Liberal minority government will be defeated immediately following a First Ministers’ Meeting on aboriginal issues.
Some news reports moved passed the anticipated defeat of the Liberal minority government to assess election readiness, pointing out the Conservatives are best prepared to wage an immediate campaign.
CTV News and Toronto Star emphasize Conservative Party is best placed by far to mount a Christmas election campaign.  News reports note Conservatives raised this year twice as much money as Liberals, and four times as NDP.
In negative tones, front page Ottawa Citizen coverage highlighted a move by Liberal Party to hire lobbyist Cyrus Reporter to run its campaign communications and war room.
News report points out the decision underlines long standing criticism Prime Minister Martin is tightly linked to lobbyists.
